It becomes harder when every decision comes with costs, consequences, delays and trade-offs.

LAST CHANCE turns the great global problems into decisions.

LAST CHANCE does not claim to predict what will actually happen in the coming decades.

The situations and consequences are designed to help you reflect on the relationships between decisions, timing, costs and global risks.

The goal isn't to guess the future. It's to better understand how much our choices can shape it.

The game's method

First choose. Then find out.

LAST CHANCE doesn't ask you to study an answer before deciding. It puts you in front of a choice and afterward shows you why that decision can produce certain consequences.

This approach — decide, observe the consequences, then understand why — makes problems that can otherwise feel distant or abstract far easier to grasp.

During the game, the State of the planet makes the consequences of your choices visible: indicators, data and transformations of the world progressively show how the future you're building is changing.

The three great challenges drive the game, but the consequences of your decisions can involve many other aspects of the world you're governing.

Economy, resources, environment, society and international cooperation can all influence one another.
