Forum rules
The No-Extinction Forum exists to discuss, not to win. These rules apply to everyone, with no exceptions.
- 01Discuss ideas, do not attack people.
- 02Argue what you claim and, whenever possible, give your sources.
- 03Respect opinions different from your own.
- 04No hate, discrimination, threats or incitement to violence.
- 05No spam, advertising or repetitive propaganda.
- 06Stay on the topic of the discussion.
- 07Protect your own privacy and other people's.
- 08Do not impersonate another person, an organization or the project itself.
- 09Do not use several accounts to make it look like many people think the same thing.
- 10Do not publish other people's personal data without their permission.
- 11By taking part you accept the decisions of the moderation team.
How moderation works
Moderators cannot edit the text written by users: they can only hide or remove content, close or move a discussion, feature it and, in the cases foreseen by the rules, suspend or block an account.
If a piece of content needs correcting, the moderation team asks its author to change it.
Every moderation action is logged with its author, date, the content involved and the reason.
We do not have to agree on everything. We do have to learn to discuss using facts, arguments and respect.
