What happened
The research observed farming communities in Nepal, linking the presence of pollinating insects to actual harvests and to households' economic and nutritional conditions.
In the communities studied, pollinators' contribution proved significant for both farm income and the intake of essential nutrients: a link measured in the field, not just estimated in theory.

Biodiversity loss is not only about nature: it can directly become a problem for food, health and poverty.
